The Colonial Terrier Club, sponsored by
Tidewater Humane, provided a Tattoo
Clinic at the K9 Karnival in Virginia Beach on April 20, 2002.
Nancy Mantlo and her husband Tommy provided their tattooing expertise.
Nancy began tattooing over 30 years ago because of her own experience with a stolen pet. They vowed this would never happen again. Because of the number of dogs they owned they decided to learn to tattoo themselves and they learned by experimenting with their own pets.
Numerous stories of lost dogs were shared by many of the people that came
to have their dog tattooed. A few people that tattooed their dog had already
had their dog microchipped.
